Agree on Wimmer
Emenike muscled his way past him and Wimmer turned his head and appealed. Nothing given.
Wimmer then tangles with him from behind and brings Emenike down. Obvious foul and red card.
THEN and only then the ref decides the earlier contact was a foul.
Complete nonsense.

Branded, when you say "Bla Bla Bla", I assume you mean "Bla Bla Bla and all that" :)

As for Wimmer - compared to what they get away with at corners, Emenike gave him a wide berth - the Ref just took the easy option when he realised would have to send him off.

There really are some truly weak refereeing performances...I forget the last game where same real massive basic errors weren't made by the 'man in charge'.

Standard is appalling. Consistency is diabolical.

This is the season that keeps on giving, just when you think it can't get any better, it does.
Long may it continue, just magic.

VirginiaHam 7:13 Thu Mar 3
Re: West Ham v Tottenham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
That foul was almost impossible to see. Marriner can only have given it for the appeal and the prospect of a red card for Wimmer.

Hardly a neutral decision.

EE has had a few critics last couple of weeks, after the Sunderland game especially but I think he's put in excellent shifts in both recent home games. It's hard work playing up there alone and he hasn't really had many chances to score. In Slav we trust and I think he deserves to keep his place whilst we're nursing Sakho back to match fitness.

Re: West Ham v Tottenham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
goose - There wasn't much in it. EE definitely gave a little tug but nothing that you don't see 50 times a game and a ref ignore it.

Wimmer knew he was going to lose the race after the ball so took the easy way out and turned to claim the foul which the ref then gave.

I think they were simply too effeminate. We did not have a single yellow all match. For an Englishman to complain about playing too physical... jesus wept.

That was a scintillating game and performance all around. Slav out-foxed pochettino and pound for pound, they simply could not cope with us. Their injury excuse could not be more hollow given we were starting a 3rd or 4th choice striker, didn't have a proper right back, and played a teenager at centre back, not to mention their wage bill is 40 million quid in excess of ours. Personally, a game like that is why I love football, when shear grit and passion allow you to overcome and out-perform allegedly better players.

Fuck them and their underachieving, overrated, shitcunt club. Hopefully Arsenal kick their hampsteads in over the weekend.

To be fair to the ref, in normal circs he might have let it go, but if he let it go he would have had to send-off the Tottenham wanker

they were dirtier than us. their two centrebacks didn't know how to tackle and the gay argie and mason deliberately left their foot in. cunts

Of course they won't give us credit, just like we wouldn't give them much.

HOWEVER, we battered them first half and should have been two or three up. Lloris saved them, when he wasn't mucking up his kicking (NERVES that).

We win the rest of our home games, we are TOP FOUR.

Bloke in my work who is a Yid as well said the same thing we were physical.

Some pundit has probably said it and they have heard and just copied it.

We were well within the laws of the game, you have to be hard and get stuck in.

Whiney cunts. Shame they cant give us some credit.

Any Old Iron 2:48 Thu Mar 3
Re: West Ham v Tottenham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
A constant theme from the y**s this morning is that we were very 'physical', ignoring the fact that they got three yellows (could have been more) and we got none.
Bad losers doesn't even begin to describe those tossers.
